The City of Parramatta Council offers a quarterly Grants program aligned with the financial year period. This grant is designed to increase participation in local sport and recreation activities, particularly in regards to the inclusion of:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Disengaged young people
- Newly arrived migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants
- People experiencing homelessness
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- People living with disabilities
- People of diverse genders and/or sexuality (LGBTI)
- People over 55 years of age, especially those living alone
- Women and girls
With funding of up to $3,000, this category aims to:
- Address barriers to participation in sport and recreation.
- Strengthen local clubs by enhancing volunteer knowledge and skills.
- Improve access to resources and equipment within local sport and recreation clubs.

Application Timeline
Applications are accepted all year round by assessed on a quarterly basis. If successful, applicants will have up to 6 months to complete their project. Please note that the closing date for each quarterly funding round are as follows:
- 1st September 2025, Monday (end of day)
- 3rd November 2025, Monday (end of day)
- 2nd February 2026, Monday (end of day)
- 27th April 2026, Monday (end of day)
